i skipped the cruise but participated in the car show this year. seemed to be a bunch of people downtown all day long.....

in the past i have worried about someone getting hurt.  maybe you could find a couple places on the route where a person could pull off and do a burnout and then re-enter the cruise. the parking lot by circle k and may penneys comes to mind.... not sure how the owners would feel about the parking lot afterwards though!   just an idea..... the burnouts need to stop or eventually the cruise WILL be stopped because of an accident..

here are some pics of the show....

Hi Mike,
It was my first cruise with the nova- I worked very hard for 7 years to get to this point. It was alot of fun!
I'm not concerned w/ the burnout issue, they don't bother me, but I wouldn't want someone to get hurt or cause an accident.
My only complaint was the amount of non-hot-rod vehicles out there. I know you can't discriminate and all that legal junk, but a piece of crap 72 ford pickup with dents in the bed and 4 mis-matched wheels, no tailgate, baling wire hanging out the back, covered in mud - come on. If it was a rock crawler like some of the cool rides in the yacht club- that's great, I love to see those guys, but just an old farm truck beater- they are just making it hard for us to cruise.
I'd like to see the closed cruise be more restricted, I'd even pay a much higher fee to enter the closed cruise, that would thin out the herd a little and maybe intice more classic cars.
Also, there was some confusion on the lights. But I know there is more to the traffic than just putting up road-blocks.
All in all, I had a great time, Thanks for all the hard work and planning!
