Project Super Nova Fuel system #2

It's time to work on the fuel system.
I got this great setup from Chris which will be perfect for the Nova, a little over-kill, but I'd rather have too much than not enough.

The kit consists of 2 holley blue pumps, 2 Fram HPG-1 filters, All -AN fittings and stainless braided cable and 2 holley regulators.

I wanted to take several pics before I began to dis-assemble everything, just for reference.

Next, I dis-assembled the filters. The elements were incredibly clean, but I'll replace them anyway.

Next, I wanted to paint the tops of the fuel filters Chevy Victory Red to match the car. I first stripped what paint I could and prepared for paint.

After painting, I reinstalled the fittings with some teflon tape.

I spent 2 hours driving around the Edmond area to locate 2 of these filters and ended up having to order them from Jegs. Autozone, Pepboys, and O'Reilleys here could not get them. ( or they didn't want to hassle with it)

Each new filter comes with a new set of O-rings.

Eventhough the old ones were not cracked, I replaced them anyway.
