Time to change out the fuel system. I'm going to do this in several steps, First replace the fuel cell, then later replace the mechanical fuel pump with an electric system.

The old tank had tons of junk in it, and after building my new motor, the last thing I wanted to do was run contaminated fuel through it.

I purchased an 8 gallon JAZ fuel cell with sump, 2 AN-8 fittings and a AN-6 vent fitting. In this picture, I have already repainted the trunk with spackle paint.

Finished view of trunk with the new fuel cell and battery box installed.  The vent tube just runs through the floor and extends 2" below.

He picked up the whole fuel system from my car. Just doesn't have it installed yet. So it will be AN all the way to the carb. With dual pumps and dual lines.

Actually just got finished mounting the fuel filters and pumps about 2 hours ago.
Been a little busy lately- with the new baby.
Thanks for the info about shielding the sump-
I'm just doing what I can in steps, obviously I didn't want to run all that crud that was in my old fuel tank through my new motor. That's why I replaced the fuel cell first.
Thanks to Chris, I've got a great fuel system ready to go....

One pump for motor and one pump for NOS. I loved it on my car. Overbuild and you don't have to replace stuff later.   Grin

Good question.

Because Jared is a good friend and he needed it more than I did.   Grin

Chris

Also I am going to go up a size or two. So I can overbuild it again!
