TNT crash at Sallisaw
03/14/10 at 16:38:36

I was running yesterday at Sallisaw and the track was pretty green. Everyone said they were not hooikng at all. I didn't have any trouble running low 6's with no nitrous and so I thought I would spray it on my second pass. It lost traction about 200-300 feet out. The car almost rolled 3 times but I did get it slowed down before I hit the wall. It went across the finish line completely sideways for a 8.35 at 43mph. All 4 sidewalls are scuffed up from being on two wheels most of the time. You can hear it in the video pretty well.

The link below has both passes on it.

I restarted the car and drove it off the track. As I was loading it on the trailer I decided I was going to make a slow pass down the track just to make another one after the crash. I told Jaycie it was going to be a non nitrous pass about 50% and run an 8.50 or so. I ended up footbraking the car and running an 6.2x at 111.

Thanks! It looks like the stupid bumper is going to be the biggest cost. The guy that chromed the fiberglass bumper last time wants a fortune to do it now. It's crazy! So for the cruise it might be a scared bumper!

Sucks about the cost on the bumper. I like the chrome glass bumpers, guess I will stick with just painted ones.

Thanks! I am ready to make some more passes and soon! The thing is running better than ever. That pass would have been a personal best for sure!

Thanks,

Chris
