Dont know if everyone has heard, but there is a Nitro shortage in the USA. NHRA has made a mandate there will be no testing between national events. The Nitro that they use in T/F and F/C is sold by VP. VP gets the Nitro from China, no one makes it in the USA anymore. There are rumors that next year there will be no Nitro to be had in the USA, China plans on not exporting the stuff to the USA. Motorsports only uses about 5% of the Nitro consumed in the world. That is including radio control cars, Drag Racing, and Off Shore boat racing. Don Shumacher has 400 barrels, NHRA wont let him or any other teams use it. Its not VP, the official fuel of NHRA. He had a few barrals at a national event recently, didnt open the stuff, but had it in his transport rig, got fined $100,000 from NHRA for having non approved fuel at a NHRA event. Not sure what is going to happen, but if you want to go see T/F and F/C, may want to do it this year, may not be Fuel cars runnning next year. With the shortage, may not be any fuel to be had, or may be so high in price, no one car afford it.

Not sure, havnt been there in a few weeks. I talked to Jim, he substained heavy damage at the salvage yard. One of his buildings go blown away.
