I also had to trim some of the cowl area to that it would sit flush on the brackets.

Once I was happy with the position and fit, I measured and drilled out the holes for the dzus fasteners.
I used a stepped, or cone shape drill bit. This had the exact slope of counter sink that I needed for the fasteners to sit flush.

The final step was to install the trim piece.
It actually took more time and work than expected. I had to do some additional trimming to get everthing to fit correctly.

looks good Jared. I forgot about that front trim piece. It should give the hood some added support in the front to make up for not having any fasteners in the front.

I think so too, it's pretty sturdy- doesn't flex much.
