]Here are some Pics of the restoration of the 1981 K5 Blazer that I own. I striped the interior out and removed the fiberglass hard top and started with the top in the shop...

First coat of Primer sprayed with HVLP Sprayer, have not used this type before still figuring it out...hehe[:p]
Wet Sanding after first coat of Primer...[:I]
Second Coat a lil thicker in content, starting to figure out HVLP sprayer...[:I]
Painted and wet sanded second coat
Even sprayed the inside, Looks like a new Top...
Last coat painted. Just gotta let it dry under the lights and wet sand for Clearcoat...
Alright, You cant see it in the following pics, but I got wrinkled paint bad after I sprayed the Clearcoat. I tried something different on last coat. I did not mix the CatII Catalyst in the last batch of paint seeing how the paint did not call for it. But the first two coats I mixed some in for the heck of it. Well since I did not mix it in I think that is why I am getting the wrinkles.. Grrr
Looks good at a distance, up close looks like crap..
The only thing I can think of is to sand down to the second coat of paint and then re-wet sand with fine grit and try to respray clearcoat...
The Beast is in the shop and stripped...
Well the body work has begun and so far so good.
Passenger side floor board rusted..
Rust Cut out and gone...
Patch work Initiated. No picking on the welding job. Besides its gonna be hidden by either sound proofing and carpet or ground down and rust bulleted and body filled... LOL!
Had to patch drivers side also..
Now for the grinding, Rust Bullet and body filler. Then what I have been waiting for the Primer and paint... YEAH!!!!
I got my colors picked out... Tell me what you think..
This will be the top and the two tone color..
This will be the rest of the vehicle and the major color...
Man its alot of work getting a vehicle ready for paint. I have been rust bulleting all the high vulnerability areas and sanding the rest of the body, then its body filler time and on to the the primer stage.. I cant wait to roll it out done... [

Prep work has begun...
"The Beast" undergoes transformation. Front clip removed
Sides before sanding begins..
Side after sanding, had to go a lil deeper then thought due to old clear and paint cracking deep...
Close up..
Bodyfiller in place and sanded...
Entire floor rust bulleted..
Truck primed...
