OK, I need some feedback on this one-

I want to put some black SS stripes on the Nova,
Would you guys recommend vinyl stripes over the paint? or
painted ones under the clear coat?

vinyl would be nice if it was already paint even better if you didnt like them you could pull them off. They are pretty cheap any more and I think would be good to use to see if you like the design or not before you paint. but in your case if your sure thats what you want definatly paint them

What about the placement on the cowl hood?
Should they be on the cowl or part on and part off?

depends on what you want. I think the chevelle ones are on and off the cowl.

its your desicion know body can really help with that those stripes are real touchy they either look real good or horrid, what did the 69 ss nova on them

I may be wrong on this, but I'm not sure if the 69 nova ss actually had stripes- I think it just had louvers on the hood and fenders.
The yenko did- here's a pic of it.

I do think that the chevelle looks alt better than the yenko nova, pnt them on there but I wouldnt do he roof just the hood and trunk
