That car was allot of fun. The engine started out in a 56 ford pu, then a 78 Malibu, then the wagon, then back in the Malibu. I bet that engine had over 1000 nitrous passes. I bought a nitrous pump and kept 2 big bottles around so I wouldnt have to make trips to Lawton all the time. I broke the drive shaft in the Malibu at the finish line in a street race, tore the trans, exhaust, and floor out of the car. I got anthor trans and sold it to Jim at 62, who then sold it to Joe. Joe drove it to Lawton from Olustee, ran 7:40's, drove it home. He later sold it to Jerry, he sold it to Ben Wiggley. It wound up with fat tires and bracket racing with a bb in it. It is still around, owned by someone at a pawn shop. Jim bought the wagon, was going to bracket race it, decided it was just too ugly, pulled the rear end and built another Malibu. The wagon had electric windows, door locks, seats, tlt wheel, disc brakes, etc. After all of that stuff was pulle, it found its way into the crusher.
